Over Rhea's 25 years in the association community, she has encouraged and promoted organizational development, strategic marketing and creating resource-full relationships. As co-author of Facing the Future, an environmental scan report published by ASAE, Ms Blanken investigated the environments impacting associations and with Embracing the Future, a companion toolkit of future-focused exercises and activities, sought ways to have staff and volunteer leaders enabled to focus on that future. These books advanced the user-friendly standard of knowledge sharing in guiding association executives, their staff and member leaders.

Facilitator for the Future
Historically, planning or forecasting points where to go. Strategies are developed that, while accounting for what has occurred, are limited or constrained by what has been the norm. It is possible to design strategies for the future that will empower bold commitment and action. The future will not be the past revisited. Working with its clients to develop coherent, aligned plans for the accomplishment of goals, objectives, projects and commitments is the foundation of Results Technology, Inc. This process reveals private agendas, road¬blocks and barriers having the possibility of thwarting the attainment, accomplishment, and completion of the commitments.

Investigating + Inquiring
Through a process of research, the historical modes of thinking and acting that may presently inhibit the accomplishment of the organization’s stated goals are unconcealed. This process may include surveys, personal interviews, questionnaires, and literature review and group meetings. An understanding of the existing climate that limits possibilities for action becomes evident. When one is aware of what has been hidden, new opportunities are possible, un-constrained by previous modes of thinking and organizational structures.

Designing + Formulating + Implementing
After having revealed the historical conversations and structures that have limited results, the client then creates possibilities for unpredictable levels of pro¬ductivity. In this new future, the client designs structures that will successfully satisfy the fulfillment of his commitments. Actions are called for and managed in ways that achieve results with extraordinary velocity.
